A member of the PSA Group (which also includes Citroen) Peugeot is a French car maker with a focus on value for money and fun handling. While Peugeot keeps the cost of its cars low, they are often fitted with a surprising amount of technology, making them attractive buys for some. The current Peugeot family 'face' with it's deep, black grille is bold and aggressive looking, so most modern Peugeot's end up being quite good-looking to boot. The recently updated, all new Peugeot 3008 is a proper mid-size SUV that's rammed with clever tech, has an interior that's every bit as well built as a Volkswagen Tiguan, and shows off Peugeot's current design direction which is likely to win over some buyers who wouldn't have considered a Peugeot before. Its smaller brother, the Peugeot 2008 is not quite so good looking, but a recent facelift has improved things a little and it still represents a good budget choice for a growig family. Also known for their sportier numbers, Peugeot still have good representation in this area with the likes of the 208 GTi and 308 GTi hatchbacks both of which are descendants of the iconic 205 GTi from the 1980s. Topping the range is the mid-size salooon Peugeot 508, which feels well built and has a smart interior. Larger families might want to look at the Peugeot 5008 7-seater that's quite a bit cheaper than its rivals.
