Frequently Asked Questions
The www.nearly-new-car.co.uk web site is owned and maintained by Gleneve (established 1996).
Where Are The Cars Sourced?
All cars on the site are provided by a highly respected preparation company in the north west of England. We act purely as a broker and you deal direct with them. They are mainly ex-lease cars that have been on short term leases which are renewed every few months. The big advantage to these cars is that they must be fully maintained and returned in good order to avoid charges, so they are cars which are spot on and about which we know the full history. These are the same cars that you'll eventually see on dealer forecourts at a considerably higher price!
Are They Checked Before Delivery To Me?
They come direct to you from a very high standard preparation company with a great reputation and who also supply vehicles to all the major finance companies in the UK. So you can rest assured they will not deliver a vehicle unless it passes their stringent requirements, which fully comply with industry standards. They also valet the car to a high level to ensure you will be absolutely delighted!
Are The Cars As New?
Pretty much as new although bear in mind that they are not brand new and therefore may have age related marks such as the odd stone chip etc. They will not have any noticeable bumps, scratches or alloy wheel damage though.
What If Something Goes Wrong With The Car?
As these are nearly new cars which have been properly maintained and fully inspected it's highly unlikely that any fault will develop but they will still have the balance of the manufacturers warranty which is normally up to either 3 years or 60000mls, whichever comes up first. This allows you to take the car to any of the manufacturers dealers in the UK and they will repair the fault free of charge if it's deemed to be covered by the warranty. You will need to maintain the warranty by having it serviced according to the manufacturers requirements but if it is close to being due a service we will have that done before delivery.
Can I Just Buy The Car?
Yes you can pay for it outright or organise your own finance.
Who Provides Your Finance?
We can offer very competitive HP and Balloon finance rates through a major high street bank which will hopefully be better than any rate you can secure yourself, but we are happy to give you a quote and you can then shop around for a better deal if you like!
Can I View The Cars?
Unfortunately no as they come direct to you from the preparation facility where there are no showroom facilities. This of course helps keep the prices down!
You are of course protected under all the normal conditions such as the Sale of Goods Act and Distance Selling Directive etc but rest assured these cars are as good an example of that particular make/model that you will find. Your protection is that they are checked and prepared by an extremely experienced and conscientious company that have a very high reputation to maintain. Plus we want you to recommend us to your friends!
Any Hidden Costs?
Absolutely not, on the road and delivered to most mainland UK destinations.
Any other questions please let us know!
